3 Ways to Celebrate Your Wedding While Social Distancing
For anyone with a wedding planned for the 2020-2021 wedding season, our hearts go out to you. Hundreds of thousands of weddings have been canceled and postponed due to the pandemic and it can be genuinely discouraging, especially if you've spent a lot of time and resources on the planning of a perfect wedding. Although it may be some time before things return to normal and couples are able to hold marriage ceremonies the way we once did, it's still possible to celebrate in small but fun and meaningful ways. Here are a few of our favorites:
1. Elopement Announcements If you're still able to get your marriage license and tie the knot without the grand ceremony, congratulations! Many couples are taking this route with the intention of connecting with friends and family for a reception later on. If this is what you decide to do, go ahead and make the announcement! Like invitations and save the dates, elopement announcements can be sent to family and friends via the mail or posted to social media. For help designing your announcement, contact us today!
2. Homeymoons As we do our part to maintain social distancing by staying home as much as possible to prevent the spread of the virus, many of us have had our travel plans disrupted and honeymoons are no exception. The alternative? Homeymoons - a honeymoon at home. There's lots of great ways to turn your home into romantic or tropical destination with a little creativity and ingenuity. We recommend doing a little research, trying to replicate the original destination you had in mind, and having as much fun as possible in both the design and execution.
3. Virtual Ceremonies/Receptions There are plenty of ways to do a virtual ceremonies and receptions using traditional resources like Zoom and Skype but another fun and unique approach is to use other online community platforms for a gathering - games like World of Warcraft, Animal Crossing, and even Red Dead Redemption enable people who know each other in real life to play together in a virtual setting. Gathering your friends together using one of these platforms can be an entertaining way to celebrate your marriage in an unforgettable way.

Again, for all of the couples out there having to postpone your weddings, we feel for you and hope that some of the ideas will help bring a little magic and fun during this time. Stay safe and stay well.
